  • Daily Supervising and Giving Positive and Negative Feedback -- for new supervisors and for supervisors who could use some polishing and a refresher

    This module demonstrates specific communications tools to build skills to bring the best job out of subordinates on a routine basis. We'll list the ten determinants employees need to do their best jobs at work. Plus we'll talk about ways to deliver these items on a shoestring budget.

    We'll also cover the nuts and bolts of daily supervising tasks: how to be most effective at delegating tasks to your direct reports, handling technical questions, and daily communications will be covered. We'll explain the Losada Line. We'll present an easy-to-follow formula for giving constructive feedback to subordinates in a way that minimizes defensive behavior and encourages personal growth.

  • Flourishing in a Team

    Understand the four stages of a team and that when everything is not always rosy, it's a normal part of developing a good team. Learn the nuts and bolts of conflict resolution and decision-making in a group setting. Part of this workshop is helping the team understand emotional maturity and how to practice it in a team setting.

    We'll spend some time discussing how to communicate tough messages and working through things as a team. Part of this program will address how to see things from the other person's viewpoint, which is huge in developing great customer service, both internally and externally.

  • Writing and Delivering Performance Reviews Learn best practices of writing and delivering performance reviews. Find out how to use job descriptions to generate accountability items and tie them to the performance review. Get everyone on the same page as to what the ratings mean so that reviews are consistent across the company. Practice delivering review using role-plays.
  • Hire the Best: Interviewing Skills for New Managers Learn how to interview so that you bring the best candidates into your office. Learn the best questions to ask and how to develop them so that they are not too broad or too narrow. Develop legal questions from a job description. Learn how to read people. Find out how to identify red flags in the resume and the interview.
  • Cultivating Happiness in the Workplace - Happier employees make better decisions, are more creative, are engaged, serve customers better, and make better team members. This is not your ordinary motivational program; we use brain-based research to help your employees bring about a revolutionary cultural change in your organization.
  • High Performance Management Series

    If you're interested in rising far above the ordinary in work and life, this workshop series will show you what it takes to become a high performer as well as how to develop and lead a team of high performers. We'll discuss what actions are most effective in developing productive, successful, and happy employees as well as what blocks workers from performing their best. We'll discuss cutting-edge brain research delivered in plain language, and we'll present practical business applications you can implement immediately. You'll also learn about some of the hottest buzz words today in corporations' human resources departments: employee engagement, talent management, high-maintenance employees, attention, motivation, intention, burnout, overwhelm, emotional intelligence, multitasking, and many more. This program is comprised of five (5) required core courses.

    • Fundamentals of High Performance Management
      This overview course will introduce you to basic concepts, definitions, and trends of high performance behavior and management. You will learn at least two theories of high performance mindsets and their implications for success. We will explore numerous studies that demonstrate the power of mindset on performance.
    • Why Most People Are Not High Performance Workers
      Why isn't everyone rich, successful, and happy in this country of abundance and opportunity? The answer is in how our brain is wired. We will uncover the reasons that hold most people back from performing their best in life and work. This course will lay important groundwork for clearing the blocks to high performance. You are encouraged to bring your own work issues for class discussion.
    • Developing High Performance Workers
      You'll learn how to manage the behaviors and components of high performance workers. Find out how to create the ideal environment to foster high performance in everyone. We'll not only study the latest brain research in high performance, but we'll look at the behavior of some ancient heroes and high performers in history and how to apply it in today's business environment.
    • Maintaining High Performance Workers
      So, your team is motivated and performing well. How can they possibly keep it up, month after month, year after year? We'll discuss how to manage the long-term blocks to performance, including topics like burnout, overwhelm, and stress. We'll learn how our memory works, why we become bored and complacent, and what to do about it. You are encouraged to bring your own work issues for class discussion.
    • Advanced High Performance Management
      We'll learn about special topics in high performance management in this workshop. These include topics such as the effectiveness of visualization and imagery; emotional intelligence; perception and its limitations; attention, how it works, and its limitations; and any other relevant high performance topics you would like to suggest.
  • The Three Pillars of Brain Change - this is a training program that works specifically on cognitive brain change in memory, working memory, and attention
  • Selected topics - BrainWays has individual modules on multi-tasking, emotion, decision-making, executive processes, motor cognition, memory, attention, working memory, and other specific brain reasearch areas for the well brain.
