Clients share that her marketing strategies have generated them millions of dollars over the years. Her mission is to translate the brilliant science that's hidden in the research labs (and funded by your tax dollars, by the way) into clear, practical, and actionable answers that help people break free from limiting behaviors so they can live more successful, fulfilling lives. With 25 combined years in Fortune 500 management and as a woman business owner, Sandi is known for her bottom-line business focus, her positive feminine leadership approach, and a straightforward communication style. More than 100,000 people have read her books and articles, used her training and coaching tools, or heard her speak at conferences. She has written four books and over 500 articles for clients such as Microsoft, Intuit, and the American Institute for CPAs. Sandi is a CPA (Texas license), a CITP (Certified Information Technology Professional), and holds an MBA in IT from the University of Dallas. In spite of a "C" earned in 11th grade biology given to her by the football coach, she went back to school 27 years later and earned an MS degree in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience.
Sandi's StoryI get asked all the time how did I get into neuroscience or why did I start BrainWays. So here's my story. 2000 was a really tough year for me. My world pretty much fell apart. My mom's death was really hard on me, and I had to take a bunch of time off with my family situation. I had to let a 7-year relationship go, which was kind of like going through a divorce. I think I earned just above poverty level that year, which was a huge drop from the record-breaking year I had in 1999. With a year like 2000 coming at my "mid-life crisis" age, I was looking for answers. I started doing more studying in religion and philosophy and attending related events. It was a Toastmaster pal who turned me on to the neuroscience program at the University of Texas at Dallas which happened to be 15 minutes from my house. The program was the study of the brain from every discipline you ever heard of. I thought, why wouldn't someone want to know more about their own brain? It was perfect at the time for the seeker in me. And it was kind of daring, too, and I liked that. After all, here's this woman in her late 40's whose last biology course was 25 years earlier taught by a football coach who gave her a 'C'. I was going to be surrounded by smart, lithe, and sassy 20-year-olds who didn't need to study to get an 'A.' So there I went. Well, if I was going to have a mid-life crisis, I might as well make it productive. When I started the program, I honestly didn't know if I could make it through the first course. I built my confidence and soon began to enjoy the program. I was especially fascinated with emotions and performance, success and failure, and the science of it, something which I didn't think we had that much control over. But I was so wrong. As I got deeper and deeper in my studies, I finally realized we all have the ability to control our results, our thoughts, and and future. Now, I know all the psychics and self-help gurus have been saying something similar to this for years, but this is not what I mean. I mean it goes much deeper than anything you might ever have realized. And it's science, not like The Secret was or anything. It's actually far more cooler than The Secret. The answer I found in neuroscience knocked me off my feet about what we could all become with very little extra effort, no matter our current situation or status or IQ. I put together some basic classes and started teaching this stuff in 2007. Sure enough, the testimonials of the student's successes say it all. They're richer, happier, have better relationships, are far surpassing their goals, and have learned how to redesign their lives so they have more freedom, more peace, more wealth, and more love in their lives. If you're looking for answers, if you're seeking, if you're longing to make a difference, if you feel like there's something missing in your life, if you feel like you're playing smaller than you were designed to, I can show you where to find some miraculous answers. For those of you who are open-minded, I hope you'll come with me on the rest of the journey as we write the next chapter together.
